Family
Health
Team(HHFHT)
|
This Family Health Network of nine physicians has become a Family Health Team (FHT) and is now recruiting for more family physicians. This regional FHT provides primary care in multiple sites and is interdisciplinary, including RN(EC), RN, RD, SW, Chiropodist, Pharmacist, etc. Practice locations include a new family health facility completed in May 2006. Technology has been utilized to create a paperless work environment for health practitioners. We are a teaching practice for the Department of Family and Community Medicine of the University of Toronto.

| Minden Medical Clinic |
Minden Medical Clinic is located in beautiful Minden Hills at the Minden campus of the Haliburton Highlands Health Services. This fee-for-service, 80/20 split, practice is paperless, using Health Screen medical record software. It is staffed by a Registered Practical Nurse and an Office Administrator. There are no after-hours, on-call or emergency room requirements.

The Family Health Team is a teaching practice of the University of Toronto, hosting family medicine residents throughout the year. The Rural Ontario Medical Program is responsible for arranging for learning opportunities for medical students.
